Mather Field is one of California’s largest redevelopment projects, strategically situated 25 minutes from downtown Sacramento and in close proximity to San Francisco, Central Valley and the Pacific Rim. The 5,700 acre mix use development has a 300 acre Commerce Center with over 60 private and public businesses creating 5,000 jobs that occupy 2 million square feet of newly constructed Class B+ office space, complimented with a 2,875 acre general aviation Airport that features two parallel runways of 11,300 and 6,040 feet with a 24 hour air traffic control tower, a 1,600 acre regional park including a 18 hole championship golf course and a 1,271 single family residential development.
Sacramento County is now seeking to capitalize on Mather’s success and is seeking qualifications and experience to develop nine properties totaling over 1,200 acres via private/public partnership agreement(s). The properties are:
